With the aim of promoting students' all-round development, physical fitness, and sporting talent, the R.D. Khosla, hosted the Shri Charanjit Khosla Memorial Inter-House Sports Competition from October 21st to 23rd. Students from Harmony, Unity, Liberty, and Victory Houses, from grades 5th through 10th, participated enthusiastically. Various sports, including kho-kho, volleyball, and football, were held as part of the competition.
The winning students of this competition were honoured with prizes by the school's Chairman Mr. Arvind Khosla, President Mr. Ajay Khosla, Principal Dr. Bindu Bhalla and Managing Committee members Sardar Bhupinder Singh, Mr. Varinder Kansara, Mr. Kamal Arora and Mrs. Monica Khosla and Mrs. Manisha Khosla.
The school's former chairman, the late Mr. Charanjit Khosla, believed that the purpose of education was not merely to impart bookish knowledge, but also to ensure the physical, mental, and moral development of students. Organized to realize this vision, this sports competition is a golden opportunity for students to identify, hone, and showcase their hidden talents.
During the competition, students from various houses challenged each other, demonstrating sportsmanship, discipline, unity, and team spirit. Each on-field match helped strengthen students' self-confidence, leadership skills, patience, and fighting spirit. Through sports, students learn to accept victory with humility and learn from defeat and move forward.
Chairman Sh. Arvind Khosla, President Sh. Ajay Khosla, and Principal Dr. Bindu Bhalla said that the main objective of this event is to fulfill the dreams of the late Mr. Charanjit Khosla who would always inspire students to adopt an active lifestyle, stay physically fit, and develop an interest in sports. Additionally, the school will strive to identify talented athletes who can bring glory to the school at various levels in the future.
This sporting event is not just a platform to win medals and trophies, but also an opportunity to recognize talent, impart confidence and instill the spirit of excellence.
